Talavera Pottery
One of Mexico's most distinctive artistic mexican traditions is the colorful glazed pottery, called Talavera. Talavera comes in a wide variety of forms: cups, plates, serving bowls, vases and tiles. It is both beautiful and practical. Talavera continues to be made in much the same way that it has been produced since the 16th Century: formed by hand and painstakingly painted.
